Wilson P. Higgsbury, often referred to as the Gentleman Scientist, is the first playable character in the survival game Don't Starve, released in 2013.

Driven by an insatiable curiosity, Wilson was a talented but ultimately unsuccessful scientist. He was easily tricked by a mysterious voice on the radio that promised him "secret knowledge" if he followed specific instructions. This led to the creation of a machine that transported him to a harsh and unforgiving wilderness known as the Constant.

In Don't Starve, Wilson is a well-rounded character with no specific weaknesses, making him a good starting point for new players learning the game's mechanics. His signature trait in related games is his ability to grow a magnificent beard, providing insulation against the cold.
